One of the worst things that could happen to expensive router bits is to have them jumbled up in a drawer; knocking against each other; chipping and dulling carbide edges. Designed primarily for making tabletops from 7” to 52-3/4” in diameter, this jig has 184 pre-drilled pivot holes for making 184 different size circles. It is graduated in 1/4 inch increments and is calibrated for a 1/2” router bit. By using a 3/8” router bit circle diameter resolution is increased to 1/8” increments. Attach the eccentric Dial-A-Dado base to your router you'll be able custom cut any width dado to within + or - .003". First measure the board with a good steel rule or calipers to determine dado size. Then, using a straight bit of a diameter slightly less than the dado needed, make an initial cut against your straight edge. Next, rotate the Dial-A-Dado for the remainder of the necessary width and make your final pass. Perfect fit! No sanding, no scraping, and no chiseling.
