Bocote Cordia elaeagnoides
HARDWOOD WITH DRAMATIC STRIPES
Bocote has dramatic patterning and is hard, heavy and surprisingly easy to work considering the distinctive grain. It is stable, though difficult to season, so there may be an issue with wastage due to checking or splits. As the roundwood is often narrow, the boards may have a high proportion of pale sapwood, which adds to wastage problems.
